You will fill in a questionnaire before a first session. I will use this to scaffold your first meeting, confirm your requirements and any goals. Most of the information I need I will have read beforehand which means we can focus on the therapy rather than asking questions. I may ask you to clarify personal information such as sleeping patterns or lifestyle information.

I will welcome you at the door and ask you to wash your hands (if Covid 19 or other health guidance is in place).

Once in the room we can have a welcome chat where you can ask any other questions you have and get comfortable. I usually start the coaching work first in the session so that we can find out how you respond to different strategies and what works better for you. We will work on some activities so you can understand how your unconscious mind works best – you do not need to shut your eyes!

I usually find clients prefer the trance work and consolidation therapy work towards the end of the session where you can really enjoy the state of deep physical and mental relaxation.

During this deep relaxation, I can reconnect with your unconscious and confirm the change work; using techniques and approaches discussed and agreed in the coaching part of the session.

Once the change work is complete, I will begin the transition to wakefulness, in which you are gradually brought out of your trance.

There will be sometime for any questions you may have, a summary of the session and progress made so far. I will check that you are fully alert and fully present before you are released from the session.
